12" model med action: 2 striper seasons in the surf. 34" largest fish so far- full confidence in the rod to handle a 40" monster. Action is very good. Would def buy again

All I can say is... Such a let down. The tip of mybrod snapped off when I pulled off a piece of seaweed that was stuck to the first eye on the tip. I have been waiting for a month and 2 weeks just to try it. I was fishing for perch at Halfmoon bay state park. Casting was great. The action of the tip was very sensitive. I can feel all of the nibbles of the smaller fish that couldn't take the 2/0 worm hook baited with the 4 inch sandworm from Berkeley gulp. I caught one hand sized silver perch (I think it's a perch). Anyways now I purchased a rod tip repair kit from Amazon. I know that sensitivity will be gone but at least it repairable. Not sure if I can find my receipt so I can send it back to Okuma to fix it. If not then on to the repair kit. May be it was just my bad luck.
